Welcome to Café Casimiro, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Santo Estevão. This enchanting café embodies the true spirit of Portuguese culture, where traditional charm meets a warm and inviting atmosphere. Run by the delightful Maria João, an octogenarian with a heart of gold, this café is not just a place to grab a coffee; it's a nurturing environment where stories are shared, and friendships are forged.

Step into Café Casimiro and be greeted by the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafting through the air. Maria’s passion for her craft shines through in every cup. Whether you're in the mood for a robust bica (espresso) or a creamy galão (milk coffee), you'll find each sip to be a delightful experience. Pair your drink with one of the many homemade pastries, each telling its own unique story of Portuguese culinary tradition. The selection is vast, featuring everything from buttery pastéis de nata to moist and fluffy corn bread.

The atmosphere here is simply enchanting. As you sink into a cozy seat, perhaps near the snooker table or at the bar, you'll notice the lively chatter in both Portuguese and German, reflecting the welcoming nature of the café. Locals often gather here, making it an ideal spot to soak in the true essence of the community. The patrons rave about the friendly staff and the homely environment, often describing it as a place that feels like a second home.

Each review reinforces the idea that this isn’t just a café; it’s a community hub full of warmth and hospitality.

For those looking to unwind, whether it's enjoying a quiet cup by yourself or engaging in playful games of bilhar (snooker) or matraquilhos (foosball) in the back room, Café Casimiro has something for everyone. Visitors often leave with not just a satisfied palate but also a sense of connection to the local culture.
